The picker gets his orders and commands per voice. He can decide for his own, if he confirms per voice, per input or per scan. Also confirmations, changings and other instructions happen of his free choice.

With MoTIS® Voice imperative scans can be combined flexibly with a fast voice picking, e.g. for articles with serial numbers, batches or PLM.

A qualified pick checking of batches or serial numbers per laser scanner is simple and safe, but even not so fast, because sometimes every single article must be scanned separately. Such a high pick security is at the expense of the speed. For customers, who administrate speciality goods and mass-produced articles in the same storage area similarly, a flexible change between voice and scanning brings a sustained performance improvement. And this without additional costs against classical voice systems.

User describe the advantages of MoTIS® Voice as follows. „The high-quality microprocessor will be scanned with its serial number and the bag full of screws next to it goes to the shipping box by voice instruction.“. This guarantees a maximum size of pick checking, where it is needed. And this happens with maximum pick speed in the whole picking area.

A sustained increase of the pick speed with Pick-by-Voice is dependent from many factors. Not every application area is suitable for the use of voice technology. When the jobs become more complex and the ways between the pick locations are very short, then the speed is limited unavoidably by the voice instructions. The user can be slowed up by slow voice messages.
