MoTIS® DC Distribution Center
MoTIS® DC is the modern solution for complex logistics centers with multi-client features. MoTIS® DC takes over and optimizes efficiently all relevant process flows, inbound, work scheduling, picking, shipping and check-up at the end customer.
MoTIS® DC handles efficiently and quickly complex inbounds, which have been taken over from an ERP system or that have been captured directly with MoTIS® DC. In support of the internal capturing MoTIS® DC provides order proposals on the basis of minimum inventories, range of coverage analyses and historical data. Comprehensive functions guarantee a quick, safe and transparent workflow, e.g. blockings due to quality, pallets administration, printing goods receipt and issue slips and scanning barcode and RFID.
To determine the storage location optimally MoTIS® WMS warehouse mangament system uses ABC classifications, crossdockings, minimum inventories, Fifo, allocations of the inventories, etc.
Picking orders are taken over from an ERP system or are captured directly with MoTIS® DC. The work scheduling and the order administration in MoTIS® DC provide comprehensive functions, as shipping partial quantites, partial or complete consolidation of orders, monitoring delivery dates, etc. The automatic volume calculation and shipping type determination of MoTIS® DC minimizes the shipping and distribution costs (Least-Cost-Routing) and guarantees a quick ROI.
MoTIS® DC optimizes multilevel and parallel order processing over pick lists, over mobile hand terminals with barcode/RFID scanner, over Pick-By-Light/ Pick-By-Voice and over the MoTIS® RFDC radio frequency data communication. MoTIS® DC takes always the best strategy and reduces the distribution costs in this way.
